Venture Financing Begins To Stabilize After Downturn
Law360, New York (May 26, 2017, 8:04 PM EDT) -- Following a steep slowdown last year, new data show financing levels for venture-backed companies began recovering in the first quarter of 2017, particularly for later-stage companies, which experts say could be benefiting from a gradually improving initial public offerings market.
A first-quarter survey published by law firm Fenwick & West LLP on Tuesday showed that the average share price increase in venture financing rounds rose 54 percent in the first quarter, compared with 51 percent in the fourth quarter of 2016.
