FDA Expands List Of Illegal Diet Pills, Ingredients

Law360, New York (March 20, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- The U.S. Food and Drug Administration has for the second time expanded its list of weight loss products containing active undeclared pharmaceutical ingredients, cautioning consumers that the illegal diet pills may pose serious health risks.

The FDA added three new products, upping the total of identified tainted weight loss products to 72, and four new pharmaceutical ingredients to the list on Friday.
