Marsh Supermarkets Wins OK For Rapid Bankruptcy Sale Plan

By Vince Sullivan (May 30, 2017, 2:14 PM EDT) -- Marsh Supermarkets received bankruptcy court approval Tuesday in Delaware for a shortened timeline to auction its assets after agreeing to extend the deadline by which it will identify a stalking horse bidder.

During a hearing in Wilmington, Marsh Supermarkets Holding LLC attorney Robert F. Poppiti Jr. of Young Conaway Stargatt & Taylor LLP told the court that the debtor was happy to add a week to the stalking horse designation deadline but said that any potential baseline bidder may want to have bid protections in place before an auction.
