Recession Claims Aluminum Customizer Indalex

Law360, New York (March 23, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Citing a steep decline in demand for customized aluminum due to the collapse of the housing market as well as a drop in the price of the metal, Indalex Holdings Finance Inc. has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection.

In a petition filed in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware, Indalex Finance listed four American subsidiaries as parties to the bankruptcy, although a Canadian unit, Indalex Ltd., will continue to operate without court protection.
