Maryland Launches Fund To Boost University Patent Filings

Law360, New York (October 17, 2003, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Maryland Governorn Robert L. Ehrlich unveiled Friday a new $500,000 fund to help university technology licensing offices cover the costs of patent applications, the Baltimore Business Journal reported.

An objective of the program is to double the number of patent applications filed by Maryland universities the next three years, according to the journal.
