Watson Recalls Irregular Heartbeat Drug

Law360 (March 24, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Watson Pharmaceuticals Inc. said Monday that it was voluntarily recalling select batches of propafenone hydrochloride, which is used to treat irregular heartbeats.

According to Corona, Calif.-based Watson, one lot of propafenone HCL 225 mg tablets that were sold in 100-count bottles in the U.S. might contain slightly higher levels of the active ingredient than specified.
