DuPont To Pay $1.6M Over Pollution At WVa Sites

Law360, New York (March 24, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- DuPont Co. has agreed to pay more than $1.6 million for alleged discharge and landfill permit violations at its manufacturing facility and landfills in West Virginia.

The company will pay about $1.1 million in cash and complete an environmental project to compensate the West Virginia Department of Environmental Protection for the remaining $500,000, according to a consent order that was opened to public comment in draft form March 17.
