Big Dig Litigation Wraps Up With 2 Settlements

Law360, New York (March 26, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Two companies have agreed to fork over nearly $2 million related to the fatal 2006 ceiling collapse in Boston’s Big Dig tunnel while another two firms have been let off the hook, ending all pending civil claims related to the deadly incident, the Massachusetts attorney general announced Thursday.

Gannett Fleming Inc., the designer for the section of the tunnel ceiling that collapsed, has agreed to shell out $1.5 million into the Central Artery Statewide Road and Bridge Infrastructure Fund, pay $50,000 to the city of Boston,...
