Ex-Rite Aid GC Again Seeks To Have His Legal Fees Covered

Law360, Wilmington (June 30, 2017, 7:51 PM EDT) -- The once-imprisoned former general counsel for Rite Aid Corp. lodged another lawsuit in the Delaware Chancery Court on Friday seeking to have the pharmacy retailer cover his legal expenses, this time for a civil suit the company filed against him in Pennsylvania roughly 15 years ago.

Franklin C. Brown had previously lost a bid to have Rite-Aid cover attorneys' fees and expenses associated with his conviction in an accounting fraud scandal when the Chancery Court ruled in August that the time to make his demand had expired about two years earlier, a decision affirmed by the state Supreme Court in February....
