Court OKs Circuit City's Sale Of Canadian Unit

Law360 (March 27, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A bankruptcy court has approved the sale of Circuit City Stores Inc.'s Canadian subsidiary, signing off on a deal Circuit City made with Bell Canada Enterprises earlier this month, the consumer electronics retailer said.

In a filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, Circuity City said Thursday that a bankruptcy court judge had approved the sale of InterTAN Canada Ltd. on March 20. InterTAN, Circuit City's Canadian subsidiary, operates more than 750 stores across Canada under the name “The Source.”
