Teva Targets Ex-Exec Who Dated, Gave Info To Apotex CEO

Law360, New York (July 7, 2017, 6:11 PM EDT) -- Apotex Inc. is profiting off trade secrets the CEO's girlfriend, an executive at Teva Pharmaceutical USA Inc., provided to him about product development, Teva told a Pennsylvania federal court Friday.

Barinder Sandhu, Teva's former senior director of regulatory affairs for U.S. generics, allegedly provided confidential information to Apotex CEO Jeremy Desai, with whom she was in a romantic relationship. Apotex used that information to develop its own product strategy and response, an unfair move, Teva said.
