TomTom To Pay Microsoft In Navigation Patent Deal

Law360, New York (March 30, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Putting to rest multiple patent infringement suits lodged over the matter, Microsoft Corp. and TomTom NV have reached a settlement under which the navigation technology company will pay an undisclosed sum to use certain file management and navigation patents.

The agreement, announced by the companies Monday, addresses suits in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia, U.S. District Court for the Western District of Washington and before the U.S. International Trade Commission.
