$185M Damage Award To Bard Not 'Monstrous': Judge

Law360 (March 31, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A federal judge has shot down W. L. Gore & Associates Inc.’s bid for a new trial, which the drugmaker initiated after a jury found it had willfully infringed a patent for a type of prosthetic blood vessel graft and awarded rival C.R. Bard Inc. $185 million.
