ESMA Corrects MiFID II Transaction Reporting Draft Errors
Law360, London (August 8, 2017, 12:54 PM BST) -- Europe’s securities watchdog corrected errors on Tuesday that it had published in guidelines on transaction reporting, order record keeping and clock synchronization under the massive new rulebook for the sector which will apply from January.
The European Securities and Markets Authority corrected some “unintended factual mistakes, typos and inconsistencies” in the technical section of the guidelines for the Markets in Financial Instruments Directive, or MiFID II.
ESMA said none of the corrections were intended to alter the substance or policy provisions of the rules, which were originally published in October. They are being translated into the official languages of the European Union....
