Trans Couple Says Amazon Facility Ignored Harassment

Law360, New York (August 9, 2017, 8:09 PM EDT) -- Two married former shipping workers at Amazon’s Kentucky shipping facility filed suit Wednesday in federal court alleging the company effectively fired them by turning a blind eye to harassment tied to one partner being transgender.

Allegra Schawe-Lane, who is transgender, and her husband, Dane Lane, allege that Amazon.com KYD LLC allowed colleagues and managers to insult and harass them, and then were punished by their managers when they asked management to intervene, all of which led them to quit a year after being hired.
