BP, Pennzoil To Repay Ohio For Gas Station Cleanup

Law360, New York (April 3, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- BP Products North America Inc., Pennzoil-Quaker State Co. and Century National Bank have agreed to pay Ohio's Environmental Protection Agency $500,000 in compensation for state efforts to monitor chemical discharges from the site of a former gas and auto service station.

The amount covers response costs dating back as far as 1991, according to a consent order filed Thursday in the United States District Court for the Southern District of Ohio.
