Law360 (April 6, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- On March 25, 2009, the Government Accounting Office, the investigative arm of Congress, released a report summarizing its audit and investigation of the complaint intake and investigative processes of the U.S. Department of Labor Wage and Hour Division (“WHD”). The GAO heavily criticized WHD’s practices in these areas, outlining numerous shortcomings reportedly due to lack of resources.
