Nacchio Makes Last-Ditch Plea To Skirt Prison

Law360 (April 8, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- After a district court shot down his request to remain free as he appeals his insider trading conviction, former Qwest Communications International Inc. chief Joseph Nacchio made an emergency plea to an appellate court to stay out of prison.

In a decision Tuesday, Judge Marcia S. Kreiger of the U.S. District Court for the District of Colorado accepted Nacchio's bid for reconsideration to stay free on bail, but again rejected his request.
