FDA Enjoins Pharmas From Selling Unapproved Drugs

Law360, New York (April 13, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- The U.S. Food and Drug Administration has won a permanent injunction barring two pharmaceutical companies and their owners from manufacturing and selling unapproved drugs, after the companies and the administration agreed on a settlement.

The FDA announced Friday that Neilgen Pharmaceuticals Inc. and parent company Advent Pharmaceuticals Inc. signed off on a consent decree that will halt the companies' manufacture of drugs that have not been approved by the administration.
