Pa. Groups Try To Quash Allegheny Oil Drilling Deal

Law360, New York (April 13, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Two Pennsylvania groups representing oil interests have made a bid to block a proposed settlement between the U.S. Forest Service and environmental groups that would put the brakes on oil and gas development in the Allegheny National Forest.

The Pennsylvania Oil and Gas Association and the Allegheny Forest Alliance filed an emergency motion Monday in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania to stay the proposed settlement.
