Daiichi Sues 11 Generics Cos. Over Levaquin Patents

Law360 (April 14, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- For the second time in less than a month, Daiichi Sankyo Co. Ltd. has sued a slew of generics makers in Japan over its patents for Levaquin in an effort to bar the companies from selling their versions of the anti-bacterial blockbuster while a court examines an administrative ruling canceling the patents' extensions past 2008.
