Idling-Pollution Case V. Bus Co. Headed For Trial

Law360 (April 14, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Summary judgment is not appropriate in Paul Revere Transportation LLC's challenge to a federal lawsuit seeking hefty fines against the bus operator under anti-idling laws, a federal judge has ruled, paving the way for a May trial.

District Judge William G. Young's ruling Tuesday in the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts turned aside Paul Revere's arguments that the charges were too vague and that the fines sought were too heavy given the nature of the dispute.
