FERC Nixes Alliant Unit's Transmission Rates Suit

Law360, New York (April 17, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission has ruled in favor of transmission company ITC Midwest LLC in a dispute with one of its customers, a subsidiary of Alliant Energy Corp., over an increase in projected electrical transmission service rates.

FERC ruled Thursday that public utility Interstate Light and Power Co. had failed to provide any evidence that increases in ITC's operations and maintenance and administrative and general expenses were unlawful.
