Utah Gas Cos. Agree To $6M In Fixes Over Violations

Law360, New York (April 17, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- The federal government has reached settlements with six energy companies over alleged Clean Air Act violations in a move that will require the companies to install more than $6 million worth of pollution control equipment at natural gas facilities in northeastern Utah.

The three consent decrees — filed Friday in the U.S. District Court for the District of Utah — also require the companies to pay $632,000 in civil penalties and spend another $200,000 on supplemental environmental projects.
