Akron Retains Holland & Knight In Pollution Suit

Law360, New York (April 20, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- The city of Akron, Ohio, has retained Holland & Knight LLP for its defense in a suit brought by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, alleging the city's sewage discharges have fouled nearby rivers.

The city filed motions Friday in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Ohio, asking that the court allow two attorneys from Holland's Washington, D.C., office to represent it pro hac vice.
