Asyst Technologies Boots Up For Bankruptcy

Law360, New York (April 20, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Citing the global recession, semiconductor technology provider Asyst Technologies Inc. on Monday revealed plans to file for bankruptcy.

On Monday, Asyst revealed that it and its Japanese subsidiaries, Asyst Technologies Japan Holdings Co. Inc. and Asyst Technologies Japan Inc., were all intending to commence voluntary bankruptcy proceedings in their respective forums after a series of last-ditch efforts to stave off that fate failed.
