Cessna Loses Bid For Attys' Fees in De-Icing Suit

Law360 (April 23, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A judge has refused to grant attorneys’ fees to Cessna Aircraft Co. in an individual lawsuit that is part of multidistrict product liability litigation alleging that Cessna improperly certified its 208B-series aircraft as satisfying Federal Aviation Administration safety standards.

Judge Kathryn Vratil of the U.S. District Court for the District of Kansas on Tuesday denied Cessna’s motion for attorneys’ fees, though she sustained the company's motion to stay a ruling on costs pending a final decision on appeal.
