EPA, Friction Holdings Settle Pollution Charges

Law360, New York (April 23, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Auto parts maker Friction Holdings LLC has agreed to pay $337,500 to settle multiple pollution charges by federal regulators, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency said Thursday.

Friction Holdings, formerly known as Raybestos Products Co., has also agreed to investigate and clean up certain areas at its Crawfordsville, Ind., site as part of an agreement with the EPA and the U.S. Department of Justice.
