3rd Circ. Remands Philips Bias Case Over Damages

Law360 (April 23, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A federal appeals court has affirmed a jury verdict in favor of a former temporary worker for Philips Lighting North America Corp. who claimed she was not hired for a permanent position because of sex discrimination. However, the court has ordered a new trial on the amount of damages the woman should receive.
