Aussie Cookie Co. Targets Krispy Kreme Over Vo-Vo

Law360, New York (April 24, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- An Australian cookie maker has reportedly threatened to file a lawsuit against Krispy Kreme if the doughnut giant doesn't stop selling a pastry that it alleges infringes on one of the country's most iconic treats.

Attorneys for Sydney-based Arnott's recently sent a letter to Krispy Kreme officials demanding they stop producing Iced Dough-Vo doughnuts, the Associated Press reported Friday. The pastry, Arnott's maintains, is almost identical in appearance and name to Arnott's Iced Vo-Vo cookie.
