Senators Push For More Limits On Air Pollutants

Law360, New York (April 24, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Sen. Tom Carper, D-Del., and Sen. Lamar Alexander, R-Tenn., have said they are crafting legislation that aims to impose stricter limits on emissions of sulfur, nitrogen and mercury from power plants.

The senators, both members of the Senate Environment and Public Works Committee, said that while clean air regulations remain tied up in courts, Congress should take up the call to make needed changes.
