Kidnapped Caterpillar Execs File Suit Against Workers

Law360, New York (April 24, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Four Caterpillar Inc. executives who were held overnight by workers at a factory in southeastern France have reportedly launched a criminal lawsuit over the “boss-napping,” in the first case to target perpetrators of the increasingly popular labor negotiation tactic.

The executives, who were detained for more than 24 hours at the company's Grenoble plant, filed suit in criminal court in France on Wednesday, according to reports in Le Dauphine Libere, a regional newspaper.
