Jury Hits United With $3M Retaliation Verdict

Law360, New York (April 27, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A federal jury has returned a $3 million verdict in favor of a Colorado woman who worked as a ramp services supervisor at United Airlines Inc. and claimed the airline discriminated against her and retaliated when she complained.

According to Friday's verdict in the U.S. District Court for the District of Colorado, plaintiff Jennifer McInerney proved she was a victim of retaliation, but she did not prove she was terminated from the airline because of her sex.
