Vitamin World Approved For Store Liquidation, Sale Plans

Law360, Wilmington (November 21, 2017, 1:04 PM EST) -- Bankrupt health supplement retailer Vitamin World Inc. will move ahead with plans to sell most of its stores as a going concern operation while liquidating the rest of its locations after receiving approval for the process from a Delaware federal judge on Tuesday.

During a hearing in Wilmington, Vitamin World attorney Mark Minuti of Saul Ewing Arnstein & Lehr LLP told the court the debtor had identified 122 stores that were either underperforming or had burdensome lease obligations to be liquidated and closed down over the next two months, while 151 others will be included in a going concern sale process....
