Kimberly-Clark Sues Tyco Over Trachea Tube Patent

Law360 (April 27, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Kimberly-Clark Worldwide Inc. has accused Tyco Healthcare Group LP of willfully infringing the retail goods giant's patent for a type of endotracheal tube designed to minimize infections that can lead to pneumonia in patients hooked up to ventilators.

The complaint — filed Monday in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Wisconsin — alleges that the defendant's Mallinckrodt SealGuard and SealGuard Evac products infringe Kimberly-Clark's patent.
