UK's SFO Charges 2 Ex-SBM Execs In Unaoil Bribery Probe

Law360, New York (November 30, 2017, 4:36 PM EST) -- The U.K. Serious Fraud Office on Thursday charged two former executives at Dutch oil company SBM Offshore with conspiring to pay bribes in order to secure contracts in Iraq as part of a year-old probe into corruption at oil services firm Unaoil.

U.K. prosecutors announced the cases against former senior sales manager Paul Bond, 65, and former Vice President Stephen Whiteley, 62. Whitely was also a manager for Iraq, Kazakhstan and Angola at Unaoil, according to the agency.
