McNeil Not At Fault In Infant Tylenol Death: Court

Law360, New York (April 28, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A Philadelphia appeals court has overturned a $5 million verdict awarded to the parents of an infant who died after taking too much of McNeil PPC Inc.’s Infants' Tylenol formulation.

The Superior Court of Pennsylvania passed down a memorandum in favor of McNeil on Friday, departing from the trial court’s ruling that even therapeutic doses of Infants' Tylenol could cause enough liver damage to significantly harm children.
