Amergence Sues Syntax-Brillian Over Olevia Deal

Law360, New York (April 29, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Electronics supplier Amergence Technology Inc. has filed an adversary complaint against Syntax-Brillian Corp., alleging the bankrupt television manufacturer broke an agreement to sell the Olevia brand of televisions and associated intellectual property to Amergence.

California-based Amergence lodged its breach-of-contract complaint Tuesday in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware, which is overseeing Syntax-Brillian's Chapter 11 case.
