Vt., Environmental Group End Stormwater Runoff Feud

Law360 (April 29, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- The Vermont Agency of Natural Resources has decided not to appeal a state court's mandate that it notify certain polluters that they must apply for federal discharge permits, ending a nearly six-year tussle over how to tackle stormwater runoff.

On Wednesday, ANR spokeswoman Sabina Haskell confirmed that the state agency had recently chosen not to appeal the State of Vermont Environmental Court's Feb. 18 decision denying its motion for reconsideration.
