Sierra Club's Challenge To Power Line Nixed

Law360 (April 29, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- West Virginia's Supreme Court has rejected a challenge from the Sierra Club to a state regulatory agency's order giving Allegheny Energy Inc. unit Trans-Allegheny Interstate Line Co. a green light to build a high voltage interstate electric transmission line.

On Wednesday, the Supreme Court of Appeals denied the Sierra Club's petition for suspension and review of two orders issued by the state's Public Service Commission.
