Law360, New York (December 8, 2017, 12:43 PM EST) -- A stable U.S. economy and robust stock market have set a more optimistic tone for the 2018 mergers and acquisitions landscape than has been the case in several years, according to a majority of the respondents to Dykema Gossett PLLC's annual M&A Outlook Survey.
Nearly 40 percent of the respondents — senior executives, advisers and corporate executives in more than a dozen business sectors — expect the market for mergers and acquisitions to strengthen next year, while 41 percent anticipate no significant change.
