Bill Aims To Guard Public Lands From Climate Change

Law360, New York (May 1, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Reps. Raul M. Grijalva, D-Ariz., and Nick Rahall, D-W.Va., have introduced legislation in the U.S. House of Representatives that aims to ensure that public lands are protected from the threat of climate change.

The two lawmakers on Thursday introduced the Climate Change Safeguards for Natural Resources Conservation Act, also known as H.R. 2192, would set up a Natural Resources Climate Change Adaption Panel, which would consist of federal agencies responsible for managing U.S. parks, wildlife refuges, national forests, and other federally owned land and water bodies....
