States Not Immune To EEOC Actions: 9th Circ.

Law360, New York (May 5, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Ruling that sovereign immunity does not shield states from discrimination claims, the full panel of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit has overruled a decision by three circuit judges in favor of Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, who was sued for pay discrimination by two public employees.
