By Benjamin Horney (July 7, 2017, 4:36 PM EDT) -- Elliott Management Corp. may look to usurp Berkshire Hathaway Energy's $9 billion bid to buy a reorganized Energy Future Holdings Corp., according to a Friday report from Reuters. The report said the hedge fund and Energy Future creditor is weighing whether to make an offer that would challenge Warren Buffett's $9 billion agreement, though nothing is certain yet. Elliott could also look to use its rights as a creditor to Energy Future to block the deal with Berkshire in bankruptcy court, the report noted.
