Dispensary Says NLRB Official's Injunction Bid Is Too Soon

By Emily Brill (March 21, 2022, 9:14 PM EDT) -- A cannabis dispensary urged an Arizona federal judge not to force it to reinstate a worker who a National Labor Relations Board judge found was fired for her unionization efforts, saying it hasn't had sufficient opportunity to present its case.

Absolute Healthcare, which does business as Curaleaf Arizona, argued Friday that the judge should not rule on NLRB regional director Cornele Overstreet's petition for an injunction under Section 10(j) of the National Labor Relations Act until it's been allowed to take depositions and present its objections to an agency judge's finding that Anissa Keane's firing violated the NLRA.
