A putative class of Louisiana residents displaced by hurricanes Katrina and Rita have resolved nearly all claims in multidistrict litigation alleging their emergency trailers contained formaldehyde, an attorney for the plaintiffs said Tuesday.

More than 20 trailer makers in a Louisiana multidistrict litigation on Friday reached a settlement worth at least $11.5 million with thousands of residents displaced by hurricanes Katrina and Rita who claimed the trailers they were provided contained formaldehyde.
