    Total Wins $3.5M Oil Royalty Suit Against Kerr-McGee

    A Total SA unit does not have to pay Kerr-McGee Oil & Gas Corp. more than $3.5 million in royalties on an offshore oil block, a federal judge has ruled, finding that a lease assignment does not trigger royalty payments until the endeavor yields more than 87.5 million barrels.
