A Maryland federal judge on Friday dismissed lawsuits by Millennium Laboratories Inc. and Ameritox Inc., ending a public relations battle in which the two urine drug testing competitors accused one another of issuing press releases that misrepresented earlier litigation over alleged false advertising.

A Maryland federal jury found that drug testing company Ameritox Ltd. falsely advertised its testing services, according to a consent order released Wednesday, handing rival Millennium Laboratories Inc. a victory in a long-running legal war over false marketing campaigns and alleged kickbacks to doctors.
