Transportation Cos. Can Contest Liability In Metro Crash Case
A federal judge on Tuesday said corporate defendants in a lawsuit over a fatal June 2009 Washington, D.C., Metro train crash can contest their liability, a blow to the plaintiffs who had argued the transportation businesses already had admitted they were liable.

Judge Trims Suit Over Fatal DC Metro Crash
A federal judge has cut one claim from a suit brought by victims of a June 2009 Metro crash that killed nine people in Washington, ruling that the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority cannot be held liable for keeping older trains in service.
