Land O'Lakes Inc. has settled a long-running lawsuit claiming the company sold alpaca farmers tainted feed that killed and sickened more than 100 animals, according to an order filed Tuesday in an Ohio federal court.

The owners of an alpaca farm whose animals were sickened or killed by contaminated alpaca feed were unable to convince a federal court on Thursday that they deserved a new trial in order to garner a larger damages award.
